Beyond the Gates season two is shaping up to be a must-watch daytime run for CBS. The soap’s Inside Fairmont Crest special, which brought new and prospective viewers up to speed on what’s happened so far behind those storied gates, gave fans a look at who will be in the spotlight this year. But a newly released cast photo has shown just how much BTG’s ensemble cast has grown since the soap debuted on February 24, 2025.

Key Takeaways

  • Who will be in prominent storylines in BTG season 2
  • The major stories lined up for 2026 and what fans can expect in the months to come

Beyond the Gates Season 2 Cast

Season 2 launched on January 2 and it hasn’t slowed down since. The new year has brought with it a BTG cast that is 25 actors deep. This means each episode is going to be packed with storylines and character developments. They’ll have many directions to grow in and will involve twists with Fairmont Crest residents no one saw coming.

Below is a list of who will be featured this season:

The Duprees: Anita (Tamara Tunie), Vernon (Clifton Davis), Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix), and Dani (Karla Mosley)

The Hamiltons: Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett), Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings), Naomi Hamilton-Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit), and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla)

The Richardsons: Ted (Keith D. Robinson), Martin (Brandon Claybon), Kat (Colby Muhammad), Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning), Samantha (Najah Jackson), Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller), and Andre (Sean Freeman)

The Thomases: Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Eva (Ambyr Michelle)

The Hawthornes: Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Izaiah (David Lami Friebe)

Remaining cast: Vanessa McBride (Laura Buglioli), Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom), Madison Montgomery (Kenjah), Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria), Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob), and Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin)

What to Expect in Beyond the Gates Season 2

The first major storyline of BTG’s second season centers on Anita’s chemotherapy journey after being diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. The daytime drama has partnered with the Know Your Lemons Foundation on an awareness campaign meant to educate viewers through the storyline and PSAs that will air during Anita’s arc.

Fans can anticipate a major crossover with Y&R during the summer that will bring Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to town for a fundraiser Martin is holding. The bigwig was asked by his longtime friend, Vernon, to be the keynote speaker. Also along for the ride are Kyle (Michael Mealor), who’s friends with Martin, and his parents, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters).

Devon (Bryton James) will be making his own visit to Fairmont Crest, with his wife Abby (Melissa Ordway) as his plus one, for a business opportunity Anita has in store for him. The crossover will be a multi-episode event that has a great impact on the fundraiser attendees due to a shocking moment that derails the soiree.

Also in the cards for BTG season 2 is the soap’s first engagement! They had two weddings last year and a vow renewal. Now it’s time for someone to get on bended knee and ask for their love’s hand in marriage. A glamorous Cotillion will take center stage during the season in a storyline that likely focuses on Samantha’s debut in society. And, keeping with the trend of BTG honoring the major holidays, a surprise musical guest-star will be in the soap’s Easter episode.

There’s much to look forward to with this NAACP and Writers Guild Award-nominated daytime drama. Stay tuned to Soap Hub for more Beyond the Gates coverage.
