Vanessa and Doug’s (Jason Graham) marriage has been on the rocks for quite some time. With the distance growing between the couple, Vanessa has sought attention from other men. Meanwhile, Doug is hiding his own secret. He has a gambling addiction and in debt to casino owner Joey (Jon Lindstrom).
The McBrides’ marital problems have been a focus of the show and last week saw a huge moment in their relationship. The couple had a heartfelt conversation, where a tearful Vanessa admitted their marriage wasn’t perfect. Yet, during their interaction, it was evident there was still some feelings between the two.
The scene was praised not only by fans but also by Buglioli. In an Instagram post, she expressed gratitude to everyone for Doug and Vanessa’s story.

There’s bound to be plenty more emotional Vanessa and Doug scenes as Doug’s gambling addiction is exposed. Buglioli and Graham will undoubtedly knock it out of the park with what comes next for the McBrides.
