Soap opera fans eagerly awaited the debut of Beyond the Gates, the first new sudser in 25 years. Actor Jon Lindstrom, who played good twin Kevin Collins and bad twin Ryan Chamberlain for decades on General Hospital, has signed on to play casino owner Joey Armstrong. He recently shared his excitement about the show’s premiere, and later explained how he and the cast and crew were planning on viewing it.
A Work Watch Party
Jon Lindstrom posted a video on Instagram, the caption of which only contained: “[Beyond The Gates] #BeyondTheGates #BTG [CBS] [Michele Val Jean] [Tamara Tunie] [Karla Mosley] #daphneeduplaix [Maurice P. Kerry] #soapopera #drama.” However, in the video, he went into great detail, starting with, “Hey there, everybody. I’m coming to you on February 24, 2025, which is the premiere date of Beyond The Gates.”
Lindstrom further explained that he had scenes to shoot for the show in Atlanta, where the studio is located. He remarked that he and the cast and crew were “Gonna watch together. We might actually stop work for an hour and check it out, hopefully at the same time as all of you.” He thanked the fans for their love and support, gushing over the new show and explaining that it’s, “The first ever one-hour soap opera to be anchored by an African American family.”
