On Beyond the Gates, Vanessa and Doug’s marriage continues to erode despite their reconnecting in a big way. In the Thursday, April 24 episode, Hayley turns out not to be pregnant after all. However, Bill reacts with sadness and disappointment. He may want another kid. Meanwhile, Leslie is full-steam ahead with her revenge plans, but little cracks in the foundation are starting to form.
Problems and Obstacles
All the reasons why Leslie’s revenge agenda can go up in smoke.
Leslie’s Ego
Eva (Ambyr Michelle) called out her mother again, labeling her a “diabolical, pathological liar.” Sure, she attempted to walk it back, but that was only because Leslie took major offense. Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) admitted to donning her “Sherry Carter” disguise to say goodbye to Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix), since she was leaving town. It was simply theater, she said.
But Leslie thinks that whenever she puts on a new wig and disguise, it’s like she’s Clark Kent versus Superman. The wig makes her unidentifiable, apparently, much like those glasses Clark wears. That’s all ego, and Leslie thinks she’s getting one over on everybody, except Eva and Ted (Maurice Johnson).

Leslie’s Daughter Eva
Since becoming Nicole’s substitute assistant, Eva has felt welcomed into the Richardson family, except for Kat (Colby Muhammad). But she has had several conversations with Ted and gotten close with Nicole, too. Even though she thinks Ted has done her and her mom wrong, she wants to be accepted. She wants a real relationship with her father. And sooner or later, she could shut down her mom’s plans, much like she did the night of Nicole’s awards ceremony.
She also keeps coming back to the fact that she has a feeling her mom was the one behind Laura’s (Destiny Love) hit and run and hospital scare. That’s not going to go away. She knows her mom did it, she just doesn’t want to admit that her mom has that kind of darkness inside her.
Nicole’s Thirst for Information
Nicole visited her assistant, Laura, in the hospital. The psychiatrist was very curious about how Laura’s heart attack happened. She wanted to know how the increased potassium got into her system. Nicole is determined to find out. She said she will look up Laura’s records and find the discrepancy. That there may have been someone responsible for Laura’s scare.
It also looked like she found it weird that Eva ordered flowers for Laura. She may not think this is a big deal, but there’s a chance she could follow up on that with Eva and become more suspicious.

Kat’s Spy Games
Kat can become a massive problem for Leslie. While she and Tomas (Alex Alegria) talked, he filled her in on Eva’s backstory. However, she said that she met the person who raised her, and the woman said her name was Anna, not Leslie. Suspicious, Kat found out where Eva lived and arrived at her door.
When Kat spotted the photo of Leslie and Eva, it triggered her memory of meeting Anna. She realized that “Anna” and “Leslie” were the same person. Needless to say, she got out of there as soon as possible. She will need to watch her back because Leslie saw her take a picture of the photo featuring Leslie and Eva. Kat has to be on Leslie’s radar more than ever before. If Kat shows Nicole the picture, Nicole may deduce that it’s Sherry Carter. See the domino effect that can happen here?
And there are only two more sleeps until Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party. Will the showdown wait until then, or will Leslie have to work fast and reconfigure her plans?
