From Raving Mad To Roving Reporter
Daytime audiences were first introduced to Mike Manning when he joined Days of Our Lives as Charlie Dale in October 2020. He wreaked havoc in Salem until the character was shot and killed by Jan Spears in 2021. Charlie was “resurrected” on Halloween of 2021 by the devil who had possessed Marlena but returned to the grave. In 2022, the devil had moved on to Allie, and she “resurrected” Charlie once more.
After leaving Days, he continued his role of Caleb on The Bay, which he joined in 2019.
Manning was tapped to play Bradley “Smitty” Smith on BTG, which premiered on February 24, 2025. Smitty is the husband of Congressman Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and father to teenagers Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) and Samantha (Najah Jackson). A former political reporter turned househusband, Smitty is a fantastic dad who has guided his children with warmth and good humor.
