Bill took the gloves off with Naomi and the women bringing the hostile work environment and sexual harassment against his law firm. In the Monday, March 31 episode of Beyond the Gates, the attorney manipulated the situation to talk to the three women without his daughter. Blamed it on a scheduling mishap. Naomi knew better. We knew better.
Sneaky Tactics
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) got to where he is for a reason. Clearly, intimidation tactics and underhanded plays are his thing. And what he wants right now is to make this lawsuit go away. People are thinking it’s a frivolous lawsuit. They don’t believe the women; if they do, they are thinking about themselves and their livelihood.
He laid down the law with the women and told them what they would face if they didn’t drop the lawsuit or settle. Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) wasn’t there to counter because she was told the meeting was at a later time. When she got there, the women she was representing were shaken. Later, at Orphey Gene’s, they expressed that they didn’t think they could win against Naomi’s father. Instead, they could at least get some money out of this.

As Bill pointed out, they were going to be the ones losing money the longer this lawsuit went on. They’re sitting at home, unemployed. And if they take him to court and don’t win, they still have to pay court fees out of pocket. And that whole time, they wouldn’t have made a cent. Meanwhile, Bill, Mike Davis (Pierce Lackey), Tomas (Alex Alegria), and the rest of the company were working and collecting paychecks.
Bill got into their heads, and as he had hoped, they were scared. Meanwhile, Naomi couldn’t be more decisive and confident that she could win this lawsuit. As soon as she got to the meeting, she shut down her dad’s manipulative methods and got her clients out of there. She did exactly what she needed to do.

Will Naomi be able to convince her clients that they shouldn’t give up? They had to know that Bill’s actions were not on the up and up. In fact, they were shady. While going up against the big, bad law firm will be a challenge, it could have a big payoff. The lawsuit will hopefully move forward.
Ultimately, Bill may have made a mistake. Naomi knows Bill is worried he will lose, no matter what bluster he throws at his daughter. However, Bill also showed how far he was willing to go to preserve his reputation and his firm. And it doesn’t matter who he goes up against, even his daughter. He will go low.
