On the Friday, August 8 episode of Beyond the Gates, Ashley witnessed Andre and Dani kissing. Will that push her to go running back to Derek? Meanwhile, Hayley told Bill she lost the baby and then tried to tell Naomi a whole lot more. But at this point, we’re still processing. Meanwhile, Dani truly believes she caused Hayley to lose the baby, and that’s why she should be protected at all costs.
Make it Make Sense, Hayley
Hayley (Marquita Goings) admitted that there was no ultrasound. She got the printout from the internet. She also insisted that she didn’t fake a pregnancy or a miscarriage. According to her, there was a baby. And that’s the story she was sticking to.
The rest of her story has us just as confused. But whatever it was, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) bought it, and she didn’t tell her dad about the fact that Hayley never got that ultrasound, and then handed him a fake copy. So, Dani (Karla Mosley) blamed herself for adding undue stress, which is bad for pregnancies.
Thankfully, there are so many different ways this could all go wrong for the new Mrs. Bill Hamilton.
- Naomi can tell someone what she knows.
- Naomi realizes that Hayley’s story made no sense and turns to her mom for help sussing out the true story.
- Ashley (Jen Jacob) can tell what she knows.
- Dani can remember that she probably saw Randy/Sammy (Maurice P. Kerry) when she and Pamela (Cady McClain) gambled at Joey Armstrong’s (Jon Lindstrom) casino.
- Or if Randy goes through with turning into a snitch to bring down Joey Armstrong and that news becomes public, she’ll know that his name isn’t Sammy and that something doesn’t quite compute.
- Dani could also realize that Hayley had disappeared into the bathroom at Uptown, and it was only when she returned that there was blood. Also, the fact that Hayley didn’t stay at the hospital for long. Somebody needs to figure out that the timeline was wonky. Also, if someone could go all CSI in the Uptown bathroom, that would be great. Someone needs to test that blood. That has to be as fake as her pregnancy, the ultrasound, and that miscarriage.
However it happens, someone needs to figure out that Hayley is gaslighting the Hamiltons and making Dani’s life hell for what has to be a spectacularly good reason. We just don’t know what that is yet.
Dani Doubles Down on Friends with Benefits
Dani is in a very vulnerable place right now. She turned to Andre (Sean Freeman), whose mind was on Ashley and starting something real with her. He wanted to break it to Dani, but she understandably needed support after this whole Hayley disaster.
But there’s a pull between him and Dani, and Andre has to see it and feel it. Dani doesn’t want to take advantage of his willingness to be her “emotional support hunk.” But that’s what he’s become.
Before deciding to cuddle each other all night, the two kissed passionately, and Ashley witnessed it. This came after Derek (Ben Gavin), once again, tried to get back together with her.
Ashley finally gave the firefighter a credible reason for her decision not to reunite with him. But is she about to change her mind after seeing Andre and Dani?
