Just call Dani “Stella” because she wants to get her groove back. After a much-needed talk with Andre, she decided to enlist Pamela’s help on the Wednesday, April 16 episode of Beyond the Gates.
Getting Groovy
Andre (Sean Freeman) somehow and someway reached Dani (Karla Mosley) on Wednesday. He appealed to her inner badass and reminded her that she was Dani Dupree. Dani slays, and she doesn’t stay down for long. After Andre left, she immediately called her bestie Pamela (Cady McClain) and gave her a new job. Help her get her groove back.
It turned out that Pamela was basically Dani’s guide/mentor back in her modeling days. Her influence allowed Dani to turn Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) into a worldwide sensation in the modeling industry. Now, the two hoped to strike gold again. At the country club, they held court and brainstormed how Dani could find her purpose now that she was on her own.

The Bigger Person
At the club, Dani was productive. She attempted to be the bigger person and got a dig or two in at Hayley’s expense. She gave Bill’s new wife advice to come up with a Plan B. Dani wished she had, but she didn’t think she would need it until she did. Hayley (Marquita Goings) doesn’t think that what happened to Dani will happen to her, but she’d be wise to listen to the First Wife.
Dani did something good, however. She, in essence, gave her approval to the waiter, and so Hayley was able to order dinner after weeks of the staff ignoring her. Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) later thanked his ex-wife, and it was a nice, non-drama-filled moment.
Is Hayley Genuine?
When Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) chatted in bed (and cleaned their pillowcase), their conversation turned to Bill and Hayley. Jacob wanted to know the answer to a very interesting and essential question. He asked his wife why she was more mad at Hayley than she was at her father. She talked about how Hayley took advantage of her friendship.
She said that, with hindsight, she remembered Hayley always quizzing her on her dad as well as her dad’s marriage to her mom and that it all seemed like a game to her. “It was like she was getting away with something,” Naomi explained to Jacob.
