In the Friday, April 4 episode of Beyond the Gates, Vanessa addressed Joey’s mother of a lie. She bought it, which will undoubtedly disappoint Nicole. Hayley tried to fight for Bill when she met with one of the women in the lawsuit. Also, Andre started the documentary about the nurses and interviewed Ashley and Derek. It turned out that Bill’s health scare was short-lived while Dani’s clearly struggling with her drinking, even as she’s making mature decisions involving Chelsea.
Health Checks…Stat
Potential Patient #1: Bill
At the beginning of Friday’s episode, Bill’s hand went numb, and it didn’t look like a trick he played on his attorney’s daughter. Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) started to call 911, but he stopped her. Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) said the sudden numbness in his hand stopped, and he was fine. The rest of the episode, he never thought about it again, and he never mentioned it to Hayley (Marquita Goings), who arrived with Orphey Gene’s food.
So, what happened with Bill? Is this a symptom of some sort of heart issue that he’ll deal with again down the road? What Bill needs to do is book a physical. It could be high blood pressure or something even more serious. Or he could simply need to decompress and de-stress. Lately, his life has been super dramatic and chaotic, and even the great Bill Hamilton could use a break.
His honeymoon was cut short, and ever since he and Hayley got married, it’s been one stressful situation after another. And with this lawsuit against his firm on the dock, it will only get worse.

Potential Patient #2: Dani
While Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) is doing her best to check in on Dani (Karla Mosley), Dani does seem to be spending much of her time at home staring at bottles of alcohol. Every time she starts to make a beeline for the bar, somebody or something interrupts her. So she hasn’t succumbed for a bit. But we all know what happened to her when she broke into Hayley and Bill’s place. And, yes, Dani, you did break into their house.
She downed a bottle of wine. And then, post-felony, she switched to vodka or some sort of clear alcohol. She has all the signs of addiction, and it’s worrying. She’s using the drinking as a coping mechanism for how her life has fallen apart. Her husband left her and married a younger model. Her grown daughter quit modeling to break out on her own and start her own design business with her cousin.

Dani’s flailing, and she’s tempted to drown her sorrows in bottles of booze. She needs therapy and to find healthier ways to cope, so while she may not need a health check, she certainly needs a mental health check.
