Arielle Prepetit has a key role on CBS’s highly anticipated soap opera, Beyond the Gates, which debuts in 2025. She plays Dani Dupree and Bill Hamilton’s oldest daughter, Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne. By day, she’s a high-powered attorney. However, she’s also the one person in the family who inherited her grandmother Anita Dupree’s gift for singing. Prepetit is highly prepared for this facet of her character. She’s an actor who sings and dances and once had Broadway aspirations. Here’s what else you need to know about the entertainer.

The Early Days

Arielle Prepetit is a first-generation Haitian-American who was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She discovered her love of dance when she was five years old. Over the years, she added singing and acting to her repertoire. Now, she considers herself an actor who can sing and dance.

Living in Orlando, she was able to forge a career doing local commercials, films, and theater. However, she knew she wanted to make this her life, so she eventually moved to Atlanta, where she became a full-time actress.

Movies and More

Prepetit is starting to build a formidable resume. She has worked with some serious star power, including Robert DeNiro and Kim Cattrall in About My Father. In The System, her co-stars included Tyrese Gibson of the Fast and the Furious franchise and Terrence Howard of Empire and The Best Man. In Bull Street, she works alongside OG Dreamgirl Loretta Devine and Amy Madigan.

She recently highlighted a couple of fun sports/home renovation commercials on her Instagram account. In them, she shares scenes with the ESPN College GameDay team of Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, and Desmond Howard, as well as a different ad featuring legendary college football coach Nick Saban and GameDay Host Rece Davis. “Catch me all college football season long wherever you watch the games,” explained the actress.

For the Love of Soaps

Prepetit shared her history with soaps on her Instagram when she posted about getting cast on Beyond the Gates. “Every day after school, I would watch soap operas with my Grandma,” she revealed. “She loved them, and I grew to love them too because of her.”

The Florida native went on to talk about what booking Beyond the Gates means to her. “This job feels like a special gift from my Grandma in heaven and I know she would be watching. Everything I’ve worked for the past 10yrs has led to this moment to be able to say I’m a series regular on a network tv show!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!! Tune in early next year on CBS to get all the family drama!”

Triple Threat

It sounds like Prepetit’s character will be a triple threat, just as she is in real life. Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne’s special skills will undoubtedly be attorney, singer, and drama-bringer.

Naomi is Chelsea’s (RhonniRose Mantilla) older sister who lives outside “the gates” in Washington, D.C. It’s in our nation’s capital where she humbly serves as a whipsmart civil attorney. But there’s more to her, of course. As earlier mentioned, she and Anita are both singers, so look for that connection to bond them.

Soap Hub is excited to see that bond develop when Beyond The Gates premieres on CBS on February 24, 2025, at 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT.
