Four days before Beyond the Gates makes its big debut on CBS, a special panel celebrating the groundbreaking series will take place in New York City. The Paley Museum panel will feature one of the show’s executive producers and two of its actors.
According to its website, the Paley Center for the Media’s main mission is to “preserve our media history and explore media’s powerful shaping influence on our culture and society.”
One way it accomplishes this is through fun and informative panels featuring TV shows in the primetime, daytime, and streaming landscapes. Beyond the Gates is about to get the Paley treatment when Executive Producer and President of the CBS/NAACP production, Sheila Ducksworth, along with actors Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree) and Daphnée Duplaix (Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson), appear at New York’s Paley Museum. It happens on February 20, four days before the newest soap on the block premieres on CBS on February 24.

Look for Vladimir Duthiers, a featured host on CBS Mornings, to moderate the session. It’s part of the museum’s PaleyImpact series of panels. In this case, it celebrates Black History Month and a momentous occasion with the impending addition of BTG, the first new broadcast daytime soap opera in over 25 years.
The panel will be held on Thursday, February 20, at 6:30 p.m. at The Paley Museum. Visit the website for more details and to purchase tickets to Making Soap Opera History with CBS’s Beyond the Gates.
Tickets go on sale Friday, January 31, at 12 Noon ET. Beyond the Gates finally sees the light of day on Monday, February 24 at 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT on CBS. It will also stream on Paramount+.
