Karla Mosley's Beyond the Gates character lives life dramatic in a new promo for the upcoming daytime drama.
After watching the latest Beyond the Gates promo that originally aired on CBS during an AFC Playoff game, it’s clear that Karla Mosley’s character, Dani Dupree, will be a force of nature. She’s dramatic, confrontational, and badass every time we see her.
Are things steamier, scheme-ier, and soapier in the mid-Atlantic region? ABC’s General Hospital‘s city of choice is Port Charles, located in the upper state of New York. Meanwhile, Beyond the Gates takes up residence roughly 200 miles south of PC.
The characters on BTG live their best lives in a ritzy suburb of Maryland near the nation’s capital. The drama will unfold in and out of this exclusive gated community. According to Soap Opera Network, the ad initially aired during a highly-rated AFC Divisional Playoff game that pitted the Baltimore Orioles against the Buffalo Bills. Viewers saw a tight game in which the Bills edged out the Orioles to advance to the AFC Championship Game against reigning Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, January 26.
But sports fans who watched the commercials were also treated to a promo hyping up the Beyond the Gates premiere, which happens on Monday, February 24, at 2 pm ET/1 pm CT. The lightning-fast ad teased that CBS Daytime as a whole will “get steamier, scheme-ier, and soapier,” presumably when the groundbreaking series joins the number one daytime lineup on broadcast TV.

Meanwhile, the video could have also included that the time period will get “sexier,” considering the video kicked off with characters kissing in and out of bed. So far, it reiterates that Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and her ex-husband, Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett), are at odds. After all, Ms. Dupree slaps Bill. However, hasn’t she threatened Bill with a golf club in the past? Naturally, Dani has a vendetta against the man who used to be her husband. One of the show’s first burning questions is…will he be able to withstand her revenge tactics?
