Michele Val Jean Shares Exciting Beyond The Gates Detail

Anticipation is high for the first new soap opera to debut since Passions premiered on NBC in 1999. Originally titled The Gates, the show’s name changed to Beyond the Gates. It is the first soap to feature an all-Black cast since Generations debuted in 1989. As fans clamor for more information about the show, which is set to debut in 2025, its creator Michele Val Jean shared a cryptic nugget indicating exciting things to come.

A Picture That Spoke a Thousand Words

On X, formerly Twitter, Val Jean posted two side-by-side pics with the caption, “Just gonna leave this here #beyondthegates.” The images are most likely from the control room for when shooting commences and are chock full of monitors, a video switcher, an intercom panel, and many more pieces of equipment. The monitors display color bars with the text of the show’s title, Beyond the Gates, emblazoned in the center.

This is exciting news for fans as it shows everything is being lined up right for shooting, and TV Insider had previously reported that filming would commence on November 4. Sarah Bibel, a former writer for All My Children and The Young and the Restless, shared the same pics and wrote, “Dropping these right here and saying absolutely nothing else…🤐 #beyondthegates,” and fans were thrilled.

Anticipation is Through the Roof

Danielle Paige, author and former writer for Guiding Light and Days of Our Lives also shared the pics on X with the caption, “More to come…#beyondthegates.” One fan responded to Paige’s post with, “Danielle, are you a part of the BTG crew? I’m going to scream if you are! #beyondthegates 🧼.”

As fans commented that the news kept getting better, one enthusiastically responded with, “Y’all assembled like the Avengers. I’m so excited for what the #BeyondtheGates writers room has in store for us!”

The fan response along with memes of people celebrating and dancing were overwhelming. Another fan reposted Val Jean’s pics on X and wrote, “Ayeeeee! LFGGGGG‼️ January cannot come fast enough… #BeyondTheGates.”
