Anticipation is high for the coming of the new soap opera Beyond The Gates. Acclaimed writer and producer Michele Val Jean has created the show, sharing exciting updates for several months now. Her latest social media post shares her deep gratitude for everyone who’s working hard to make it a reality.
On the relatively new social media platform called Threads, Val Jean posted a picture of herself in front of a giant Beyond The Gates logo banner, and wrote, “So this is my show, up and running. With cast and staff and crew, writers and directors and producers – so many people working so hard to bring this vision to life. Too many to thank on a social media post (you know who you are) but this is for every single one of you tirelessly dedicating all your time.”
Val Jean, who has been emotional about the show’s impending premiere, continued her praise with, “I have been humbled and honored to be with you these last three weeks. I’m cherishing my last day tomorrow and will miss being here feet on the ground, making it happen every day. Gratitude🙏🏽.”
We’re sure she’ll still be heavily involved in overseeing the show, and she’s probably just finished with the initial setup to ensure everything flows smoothly.
One fan who lives in Atlanta, where the series is being filmed, responded, “I’m loving all the great news you’ve been sharing, but I’m doubly excited because you’re filming in my beloved ATL!! I’d love to see a TV special that introduces all the parts that make up your lovely effort! Gratitude to you for dreaming this vision and having the fortitude to give it life! 💖.”
A longtime soap opera watcher was excited that the show would be taking the time slot of a defunct series, replying, “I’ll be tuning in! I can’t wait to see the goodness of great drama on daytime again at 2 PM. The former ATWT timeslot. Let’s make this happen!!” The fan was referring to As the World Turns, which aired at 11 am EST, which is also 2 pm PST.
The new series will premiere on February 24, 2025, and we, like the fans, can’t wait!
