While Bill grumps his way through his recovery from his mini-stroke. And Dani worries about hurting Andre. The Articulettes managed to get on the same page. In the Tuesday, June 10 episode, Tracy the mediator worked her magic. And now, Beyond the Gates‘ resident girl group is going ahead with the comeback concert as well as their friendship. Do we need to worry about anybody’s sincerity with this venture?
Better Together, Sisters Forever, Articulettes Strong
Mediation and Intervention
Tracy (Maria Howell) was the MPV in Tuesday’s episode. She knocked some sense into Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Sharon (Bonita Brisker), who both shared their opinions about what happened back in the day. Anita didn’t want to take all the blame (and she shouldn’t) while Sharon laid it all on her.
However, Tracy said they collectively acted poorly back then. Her ‘some more than others’ comment seemed directed towards Anita, which was fair considering she was the one to strike out on her own and became the famous one.
They all let Barbara down. And now it was time to deal with their painful past, reunite, and at the very least give the world one more opportunity to see The Articulettes do their thing.

Sincerity of This New Bond
And now Anita, Tracy, and Sharon will kick off this journey in Chicago, where it all began. They will need the city’s inspiration to renew their bond, relearn the choreography, dust off their collaborative instincts, and become in sync once again. But to do this, they will have to face their past right there where they grew up and created their “better together, sisters forever, Articulettes strong” mantra, sound, look, and vibe.
However, will they be able to get past their baggage that lay there untouched for decades? Sharon said all the right things, but wasn’t her plan to act her butt off and come off sincere and then when the spotlight returns, take the glory for herself and Tracy?
Can we trust that Sharon is doing this reunion for the right reasons? Also, they may have faced how they betrayed Barbara. But what about Dante Green? The manager is still a menacing part of this story. We don’t even know if he’s alive or not. But he was a controlling influence who messed with the girls from the beginning.
He was the one who felt Barbara was too ghetto to come off as a girl-next-door type. He was the one who spread the rumors about Sharon’s drinking and getting high. And he was the one who ultimately deemed that Anita was the only one salvageable from the group. When are the women going to deal with the havoc he wreaked on the group?
The Articulettes made progress. But their troubles may not be over, and going back to Chicago may create more chaos that Anita, Tracy, and Sharon will have to face. Let’s hope so anyway.

Anita’s Absence
Plus, Anita will be away from Fairmont Crest and the DMV for the foreseeable future. Her absence means Vernon (Clifton Davis) may have to deal with this Martin (Brandon Claybon) mystery without his formidable wife. How long will Anita be gone?
