Kerry’s appearance on Richard Taite’s popular mental health podcast will undoubtedly dive into some powerful topics, including many of the obstacles the actor has faced in his life.

Kerry is a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Since serving in the military, he has experienced a period of homelessness, and he struggles with PTSD.

The soap newcomer will also discuss how he got into acting and his hopes of taking on more action roles. Taite and Kerry will talk one-on-one about BTG and two of Randy’s closest connections.

Look for Kerry to open up about his character’s sudden sparks with Mona (Karan Kendrick). The two keep running into each other around town, and Mona has even invited Randy to her Church. Kerry feels this pairing is currently more about friendship than romance.

“As far as Mona and Randy, I believe it’s a genuine long for a safe friendship,” Kerry replies. “Because my character, Randy— he’s a con artist. He’s a criminal, got thug-like tendencies, so he’s surrounded by danger and evil and death.” And Mona is from a completely different world from his. “Mona comes in as somebody, a complete civilian,” he continues. “Has nothing to do with this life and actually sees good in Randy. So I don’t think it’s romantic so much as an oasis.

Meanwhile, Randy and Hayley (Marquita Goings) are cousins who con together. But their schemes and manipulations are largely a mystery even to Randy’s boss, Joey Armstrong (Joey LIndstrom). Especially that big $10 million payout, should Hayley actually go through with her plan to turn herself into a black widow.

However, Joey is super suspicious about his employee’s relationship with Bill Hamilton’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) wife. And that can’t be a good thing for Randy.

“Working for Joey, my criminal boss. I think it could complicate the plan with Bill and Hayley. I think it could complicate those things. But I think Randy is professional and smart enough to not allow it. He’s not going to let that happen. He doesn’t want to die, and he also doesn’t want to miss out on 10 million dollars.”
