A newly introduced character from late 2025 finally returns to Beyond the Gates after being off the canvas for a few weeks. Here are the latest comings and goings hitting the DMV and Fairmont Crest from January 19-23, 2026.

Key Takeaways

  • Returning and recurring performers fuel the latest comings and goings.
  • A briefly seen character is back after weeks off-screen.
  • Familiar faces resurface as tensions rise across romance, family, and police drama.

The Week of January 19, 2026

Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) may not be carrying the BRCA gene but that doesn’t mean her outlook on life will stay the same. Look for her new lease on life to cause friction with her girlfriend, Kenjah’s Madison, on Tuesday, January 20.

In early December, Greg Vaughan started appearing on BTG when Dr. Kial Rollins took Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) to WinterFest. Then in his next episode, he got to know the psychiatrist in her office. He hasn’t been seen since. Look for Kial to return Wednesday, January 21 when Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) propositions him.

Jaden Lucas Miller, who plays Martin and Smitty’s son, Tyrell, is also part of the Wednesday action. Meanwhile, there’s drama that most likely takes place at the police station. Jocob (Jibre Hordges) once again clashes with his ex-partner and his father. Darryl W. Handy and Malachi Malik will make appearances. Malik will also pop up on Thursday, January 22 when Joey (Jon Lindstrom) gives the police chief some much-needed intel.

On Friday, January 23, Anita (Tamara Tunie) leans on the Articulette who didn’t just act insensitively toward her. Bonita Brisker is back as Sharon to support Anita as she continues to battle breast cancer. Additionally, get ready for a Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) versus Shanice confrontation, meaning Ernestine Johnson will, once again, be on hand. So far Shanice hasn’t shown any fear when facing Leslie. Is that about to change?

Ben Gavin, who recurs on BTG in season two, shows up as Derek, who may or may not have sabotaged Ashley (Jen Jacob). This could be about him running to Ashley’s mother to rat her out about the new guy Ashley is seeing. And, finally, Cady McClain’s Pamela touches down in Fairmont Crest so she and Dani (Karla Mosley) can set their sights on Izaiah. This may mean they think David Lami Friebe’s character has a future in modeling.
