Victor Meets His Long-Lost Daughter on Young and the Restless

And no, it’s not Audra Charles.

Victor recently stashing Jordan in his favorite underground prison/wine cellar/torture chamber has us nostalgic for the last time it was used on The Young and the Restless. When Victor imprisoned his then-wife, Julia’s lover. Julia was pregnant, and Victor was convinced the child was Michael Scott’s since Victor had secretly had a vasectomy.

Not only did the baby Julia miscarried turn out to be Victor’s, but then along came Victoria (Victor ignored her for the first year of her life for the same reason; you’d think he’d have learned his lesson), Nicholas, Adam, Abby…and a couple more random miscarriages from random love interests. But there is one more potential Newman heir unaccounted for.

My Girl

Julia (Meg Bennett, who was remembered recently) eventually forgave Victor (Eric Braeden) for his little dungeon prank. Nobody can stay mad at Victor for long. He is such a delightful imp. Years after their horrible, abusive, and barbaric marriage, Julia and Victor were such good pals that she confides in him her desire to have a baby — on her own.

Victor totally supported her. He’s a very supportive guy. Julia eventually gave birth to a daughter named Jamie, who she claimed was the secret child of Eric Garrison — one of Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) exes. But, at the time, Y&R also hinted that Jamie might be Victor’s via the same method Ashley used to conceive Abby (Melissa Ordway), and Diane (Susan Walters) thought she was using to conceive Kyle (Michael Mealor) — who, for the record, was called Christian for the first few months of his life, when Diane insisted the tot was Victor’s.

Truth Time

What if Jamie really is Victor’s? And what if Julia only told the young woman that on her deathbed? (Bennett recently passed away, so let’s presume Julia has, as well.) Jamie can sweep into Genoa City, here to claim what’s hers.

Remember how delighted Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were to meet their little brother, Adam (Mark Grossman)? They should be equally thrilled to see Jamie, especially if she is a savvy businesswoman like her mom. Victor is currently unhappy with Victoria, Nick, and Adam (he barely remembers Abby exists). Wouldn’t he be delighted to groom chip-off-the-block Jamie into the successor he’s always wanted?
