Abby on The Young and the Restless is patiently awaiting the birth of her unborn child via surrogate Mariah and donor Devon. In real life, however, Melissa Ordway, who plays Abby, is celebrating one of her daughter’s milestones!
Melissa Ordway Celebrates Her Daughter
“My precious angel baby number one… how are you already 5 years old?!!!” Ordway rhetorically asked on Instagram. “Your kind heart, love for others, and bright spirit inspire me every day. We love you more than you know. Happy 5th birthday, Olivia Christine! We are so proud of you!!!”
Ordway and her husband Justin Gaston (ex-Ben, Days of our Lives) shared some screentime on YR last year when Gaston subbed for Donny Boaz (ex-Chance) for Abby and Chance’s nuptials. The event was attended by Genoa City’s elite and Jess Walton dropped in as Jill for her grandson’s wedding and Tricia Cast reprised her role as Nina, Chance’s mom for the event.

Abby’s hoping to make motherhood part of her life; off-screen, Ordway is mother to not only Olivia Christine but also to daughter Sophie Jolie, who turns 4 in December!
Over the years, Abby’s been involved in several storylines including romances and/or marriages with Tyler (Redaric Williams), Stich (Sean Carrigan), Scott (Daniel Hall), and Nate (Sean Dominic). After competing with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) for Chance’s affections, the Chancellor heir chose Abby. They wed and moved into the Chancellor mansion which is YR’s longest-standing set.
The mansion’s undergone some changes over the years and furniture has been re-arranged however, fans still recognize it as the landmark estate of the late Katherine (Jeanne Cooper), who joined the show back in 1974. Currently, Abby has sporadic contact with Chance, who is out of town on a secret mission. Will he be back in time to see his baby be born? Stay tuned!
