The General Hospital recap for Monday, March 22, 2021, features Ned deducing his daughter’s ultimate goal, Nina getting the surprise of her life, and Maxie making a momentous life decision.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

While Michael (Chad Duell) and Chase (Josh Swickard) caught up just outside of earshot, Ned (Wally Kurth) condescended to Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and tried to ride roughshod over her and her plan to neutralize Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).

When the father/daughter duo parted, he struck up a conversation with Michael – who told him all about Valentin’s offer to trade ELQ stock in exchange for Nina (Cynthia Watros) getting access to Wiley – and Brook Lynn took an opportunity to playfully tease Chase.

Soon after, Ned re-confronted Brook Lynn and attempted to ascertain whether or not she was planning to trade Valentin’s visitation rights with the baby for control of ELQ. As far as plans go, it’s not exactly a bad one.

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of These…

Nina took a detour on her road to self-discovery in order to have chat with Phyllis (Joyce Guy). She complained mightily about Carly (Laura Wright) and Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher) betrayal, and of the unfairness of life itself.

Phyllis did her best to offer her former patient some words of wisdom, and she even suggested Nina stay put as her and Lenny’s (Rif Hutton) house guest…but having gotten so much off her chest, Nina was ready to move on.

In her haste, she left behind her passport. Luckily, “Mike” was on hand to rush it to her. Well hello, stranger! You look an awful lot like my rival’s dead husband…fall off any bridges lately?

Ties That Bind

After narrowly avoiding what would have been his justifiable execution, Peter (Wes Ramsey) made a beeline for Maxie (Kirsten Storms). She told him to go away, as did a visiting Britt (Kelly Thiebaud).

But Peter wasn’t deterred. He tried to enter the apartment but found out Maxie changed the locks. Smart move! Then he invoked Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) name and gained momentary entry…and then Robert (Tristan Rogers) arrived, and Peter was summarily dismissed.

When questioned as to why she let Peter inside, Maxie shrugged it all off and claimed it didn’t matter. It wasn’t like she’s getting back together with that creeper. She’s just biding her time till she can find a way out of her dicey predicament. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
