On Days of Our Lives, everybody’s got an opinion…especially where their favorite daytime drama is concerned – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the Salem week that was.
Days of Our Lives: A Week In Review for March 1-5
Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) can never do anything behalves. She can’t just show up to her twin’s wedding and sit quietly in the audience or even pay a simple visit her hometown without shoving someone into a multi-tiered cake or being arrested for first degree murder.
Luckily, this isn’t the first time Sami’s been accused of killing someone…or shooting someone for that matter. She was quick to point out that she only shoots and/or maims people who really, really deserve it – and she’s got a point…Alan, E.J., Joe Bernardi, they all did have it coming – but that didn’t really help her case. Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) was another villain who got was coming to, and some may even argued owed, him.
With all that said, Sami did not kill Charlie. It’s just to obvious. And if there’s anything DAYS has taught us, it’s that the most obvious suspect is the least likely to have actually committed the crime.
Now, we know that theory doesn’t seem to track in light of the fact that Sami’s fingers prints were all over the presumed murder weapon…but were going to direct you back to that descriptor – presumed.
Since we’ve watched many a whodunit? mystery unfurl, we’re going to say, right here and now, that we believe Sami’s actually covering for the person that she thinks shot Charlie. And that would be Allie (Lindsay Arnold). But like Sami, we think that Allie is just yet another red herring.
We could be wrong – lord knows it happens frequently enough when we play armchair head writer – but we reserve the right to be so. That way, if we’re proven right, we can always celebrate with an, “I told you so dance.”

Further DAYS Musings
* Even (Brock Kelly) seemed to go to an awful lot of trouble to convince Ciara (Victoria Konefal) that her beloved was dead…do you think he mocked up an entire newspaper, or did he just simply rewrite the front page?
BTW…This dude is not playing. When he told Clyde (James Read) that he wasn’t about to divest himself of Ciara because, “I can watch her cry, hear her scream, and feel her suffer,” he meant every last word of that.
* Was there anything more delightful then seeing perennial rivals Abigail (Marci Miller) and Gabi (Camilla Banus) coming together – much to the other’s great chagrin – in an effort to stick it to Gwen (Emily O’Brien)?
We also want to express our gratitude for the shows decision to bring Anna (Leann Hunley) into this particular storyline. Her friendship with Abby has been a particular highlight, and, truth be told, it was really Anna who instigated the outing of “Miz Ricechecks” vendetta against the Deveraux family.
* Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) one-sided feud with “slutty songbird” Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) continues to amuse…but we’re still struggling to understand this storyline’s endgame.
* Hello and welcome Jackée Harry! Paulina might have only been glimpsed in a few scenes spread out over two episodes, but we’ve quickly ascertained that she’s very rich, extremely flirtatious, and exactly what this show has been missing!
