The Young and the Restless star Brytni Sarpy surprised fans in November when she debuted a whole new look. Her sharp haircut won and is still winning lots of compliments and one of those compliments lead to a social media confession.
Brytni Sarpy: The Story Behind Her New Hairstyle
A fan tweeted an old photo of Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris right next to a photo of Sarpy and her new haircut, writing: “It took me a while to figure out what it was about Brytni’s hairstyle. Is it just me or does Brytni’s hairstyle give her a resemblance to Kamala? I mean besides the fact they are both gorgeous, brilliant women and powerhouses in their own right. Oh, my rainbow heart.”
Sarpy, who started her daytime career as Valerie Spencer on General Hospital, spotted the post and then retweeted it while commenting and adding: “This picture was one of my hair inspos.”

The photo of Vice President-Elect Harris looks like it was taken in the 1980s when that type of hairstyle was quite popular. In fact, when Soap Hub first saw the style we were taken back to the 80s. What a great choice of a woman to be inspired by.
Poor Elena has definitely needed a change on The Young and the Restless and a new hairstyle can give any woman new life, especially when things change abruptly. A guilty Elena confessed to her one-night stand with Nate (Sean Dominic) hoping Devon would forgive her. Instead, Devon dropped her like a hot potato and told her to move out of his penthouse. This gave Elena some food for thought and now she is willing to try a relationship with Nate.
In real-life, however, Sarpy’s relationship with Bryton James, the actor who plays Devon, is still going strong. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
