The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, September 29, 2020, features Jan making a weird play to get to Shawn, Tripp worrying about his future, and Allie opening up about the night Henry was conceived.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

It only took Steve (Stephen Nichols) a few seconds to put two and two together. Tripp (Lucas Adams) met Allie (Lindsay Arnold) at Christmas, she gave birth eight months later to a preterm baby. Son, are you the father? Tripp looked like he was going to be sick.

Tripp was saved from that convo by Claire (Isabel Durant). She was getting started on a memorial for Ciara (you know, in case she really is dead) and asked Tripp for help. The two poured over pics and when Allie came up in one, Tripp admitted he knew her, but did not offer up any more intel. Claire did not catch on.

The Truth Came Out

Things only got worse from there. Allie finally broke down and told Nicole (Arianne Zucker) the real story of how Henry came to be. She was out at the club, ran into Tripp, got way too drunk, and wound up with him in her bed. It was not a night of love or passion. In fact, she was so out of it, she barely remembered much.

Jan’s Grand Plans

Meanwhile, Jan (Heather Lindell) decided to go after Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson). But, with a twist. She thought putting him away would get her closer to Shawn (Brandon Beemer). So, it was off to the station to see him and demand he makes the arrest.

Shawn already had a busy morning giving Victor (John Aniston) updates on Ciara’s kidnapping case. Seeing Jan made him furious, never mind hearing her request. However, he had no choice. He’s a cop and had to do his job.

Dinner Is Ruined

Speaking of Philip, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) prepared a special dinner to welcome him home. Before sitting down, she had a talk with the guest of honor. She asked Philip to give Xander (Paul Telfer) a chance. He’s a good guy now. Philip did not buy it.

He was right. Xander wanted nothing more than to get Philip out of the office and the house. He got his chance, too. Shawn stomped into the Kiriakis mansion and arrested Philip. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
