The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, July 26 features Rey walking out of Sharon’s life as Celeste leaves Lola’s, and Phyllis and Victoria coming to an understanding, and Victor giving Chelsea an order.
Listening In
Celeste (Eva LaRue) congratulated Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) on having such a wonderful daughter — she just found out about Summer (Hunter King) donating a part of her liver to Lola (Sasha Calle)!
Celeste later thanked Summer and also asked her about the marriage to Kyle (Michael Mealor). Summer took the blame for everything and insisted that Kyle adores Lola, and they’re perfect together.
Celeste returned to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and yelled at him some more about not telling her when Lola’s life was on the line. (Seriously, there was not enough yelling in the world that would have made what he did OK). Celeste felt she’s in the way in Genoa City and announced she’s going home.
Like with Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Traci’s (Beth Maitland) non-relationship, could anyone explain the point of this aborted story?
Child’s Play
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Sharon (Sharon Case), and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) gathered in the park to talk about making Christian as comfortable as possible while Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Adam (Mark Grossman) continued fighting over custody.
Phyllis showed up and offered to help. After Chelsea and Sharon left, Victoria suggested a business opportunity for Phyllis — they could both take advantage of his current distraction to bring Adam down. Phyllis was game.
Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) was informing Chelsea that it’s time to bring Connor to Genoa City. Because Victor said so.
Good-By, Yellow Brick Road
Rey didn’t like Sharon helping Adam. He insisted the guy gets into Sharon’s head and she’s as torn between two brothers as Mia was. Rey said he loved her – then walked out. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
