The death of Kristoff St. John rocked the soap and entertainment world, especially his current and former cast mates on The Young and the Restless like former co-star Victoria Rowell.
The actress was back on set for the tribute set to air towards the end of April, but she also wants to clarify a few things.
“I DO NOT wish for anyone to be misled. CBS/Y&R invited me to participate in a single, beautiful Y&R episode dedicated to Kristoff St. John to be aired in the future,” she began, in a post she shared with her followers on Instagram. Her next words were from the heart for the fans.
“Love you guys for holding our legacy all these years w/respect, clarity & hope. Kristoff & I heard/read your decade of appeals for us to be reunited on Y&R. We both tried our best to make that happen but…”
Of course, in the end, it never happened and few mourn the loss of that possibility more than the actress herself. Rowell went on to share what she feels St. John would want his fans to know.
“He loved performing for you, we loved working together for you, YOU made us SO proud. If I had more news to share, I would.”
Rowell isn’t the only former cast member returning for the special tribute. Shemar Moore (Malcolm, now on CBS’s primetime hit, S.W.A.T.) will also be in attendance, as will Eileen Davidson (Ashley) and Christel Khalil (Lily).
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
