On-screen, he’s won Sharon’s heart and now The Young And The Restless star Jordi Vilasuso has something even more to celebrate off-screen!
Vilasuso was born on June 15 in Miami, FL and today he is making some birthday wishes.
The actor became an instant favorite among daytime fans when he debuted as Tony Santos on Guiding Light. He won the 2003 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor In A Drama Series for his work on the show.
After leaving Springfield, he was cast in such series as 8 Simple Rules and Numb3rs. He was a series regular on primetime soaps Fashion House and South Beach.
The amicable actor returned to soaps in 2010 as Dr. Griffin Castillo on All My Children both on the ABC broadcast version and then in the short-lived revival for The Online Network. Next, Vilasuso was cast as Dario Hernandez on Days Of Our Lives.
Last year, Vilasuso debuted as Rey Rosales on YR. It was revealed that Rey was a lawman trying to get to solve the mystery of J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill).
Was he alive or dead? After the three women were convicted of his “murder,” J.T. popped up alive. The women were sprung from prison and Rey and Sharon resumed their relationship.
Rey’s a fiercely loyal big brother to his sister Lola (Sasha Calle) and his romance with Sharon (Sharon Case) is a hit — but Rey had better watch out for both Adam (Mark Grossman) and Nick (Joshua Morrow)!
Off-screen, Vilasuso has been wed to wife Kaitlin since 2012. The couple has two children.
Soap Hub joins Vilasuso’s family, friends, and fans in wishing the actor a happy birthday and many happy returns!
The Young And The Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
