Today is an historic day in The United States of America and Eric Braeden knows it. That’s why he’s asking you to do one thing today.
VOTE!
(And who are we to not listen to TGVN, The Great Victor Newman?)
Braeden took to Twitter with an important message last night, invoking his own life experience.
“Let’s all vote tomorrow, whatever your leanings are!! Without THAT we are just another banana republic!!! We live in the MOST POWERFUL DEMOCRACY IN THE WORLD! DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED… EVER!! I was born in a dictatorship whose decisions cost the world about 50 million lives.”
The dictatorship he is referring to is Nazi Germany. Braeden was born in Bredenbeck, Germany during WWII when Hitler was waging war on the world and on those he didn’t deem worthy of life.
Braeden emigrated to the U.S. in 1959, but recently visited his native Germany on an extended vacation this fall, now a democracy long recovered from the years of totalitarian reign, and also united after being split with a wall between the east and west during the Cold War.
Soap Hub couldn’t agree more with Braeden. Voting is a sacred right as an American and what makes us a democracy. In 2016, nearly half of all eligible voters stayed home, sacrificing that right.
So let’s listen to what The Great Victor Newman has to say today and then go do it, America. Let’s show the world who we really are.
Let’s all vote tomorrow, whatever your leanings are!! Without THAT we are just another banana republic!!! We live in the MOST POWERFUL DEMOCRACY IN THE WORLD! DO NOT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED…EVER!! I was born in a dictatorship whose decisions cost the world about 50 millionlives
