General Hospital spoilers for the Friday, May 3 episode focus on Sonny’s warning, Sam’s worries, and Josslyn’s woes. Plus, has Drew turned into Mark Cuban from Shark Tank? Because, these days, he’s pitching ideas left and right.
On the Money or Off the Mark?
For months, Sonny (Maurice Benard) has been acting off. The only ones who know the reason are Ava (Maura West), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), and Brennan (Charles Mesure). His bipolar meds aren’t on the up and up. Of course, Ava hasn’t given the Port Charles mobster the important heads-up yet.
There are glimmers of hope. Jason (Steve Burton) recently asked Sonny if he was taking his meds. And now Carly (Laura Wright) has a realization about Sonny (Find out a little more in GH’s Weekly Promo here). Is this about his medication? Or is it about Ava, whose constant close proximity to Sonny is finally being questioned? Both Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) are beyond suspicious of Ava’s motives.
Warnings and Worries
Do not look for Sonny and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) to have your typical father/son conversation. Instead, Sonny warns his detective kid about the PCPD’s newest recruit into the police academy. Obviously, Sonny’s right to dislike Dex’s (Evan Hofer) presence in the police department. He’s already thrown Sonny under the bus when he admitted/confessed/blabbed to Anna (Finola Hughes) that Sonny ordered him to kill Cyrus (Jeff Kober). Will Dante heed his dad’s warning? Or will he be another one who’ll protect Dex from Sonny at all costs?

Meanwhile, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn — who’s helping unite Daytime for a good cause) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) worry about Kristina (Kate Mansi). Get in line, Alexis and Sam! Kristina’s bound to become more stressed due to all the worried people in her life. She has to contend with TJ (Tajh Bellow) trying to micromanage the surrogacy. Then there’s her rivalry with Joss (Eden McCoy). They did call a truce recently. Of course, there’s the fact Kristina now knows Sonny ordered a hit on Cyrus. Plus, there’s Blaze and her mom’s (aka Negative Natalia) drama. Welp…maybe Alexis and Sam should be worried.
Woes and No Work/Life Balance
In the young adult set, teasers suggest Joss confides in Trina (Tabyana Ali). About what? She seems to be smoothing things over with Dex even though they’re no longer together. Is this about her behavior with Kristina? She knows she has a lot of anger, and it’s manifesting in ways she’s not proud of. Or is this about questioning her life choices much like the rest of Port Charles seems to be doing these days? Seriously, somebody might want to check if there’s something in the water.
Finally, Port Charles’s answer to Mark Cuban pitches another business project. Who will benefit from Drew’s (Cameron Mathison — who’s helping Daytime Stand up to Cancer) latest brainstorming session? He’s already bestowed Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) with new career opportunities. Who’s currently feeling lost and could use a boost?
