General Hospital spoilers for Monday, June 17, focus on confrontations, suspicions, and well-timed invitations.

A Finntervention

Chase (Josh Swickard) filled Alexis in on Finn’s recent pursuits. It first started with a sip of champagne at his wedding. Then, it quickly progressed from there. Now, the guy is downing shots, hooking up with a woman he met at a dive bar, and arrogantly shutting friends and family out of his life. (Find out about the actors rallying together for the late Johnny Wactor here)

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) heard Chase, and she’s following up on what she learned. Subsequently, she confronts Finn (Michael Easton). Past history tells us that this conversation won’t end well. However, Alexis has experience with what Finn is going through, addiction and all. She’ll be tougher to get rid of, which is what Chase and Elizabeth are, no doubt, counting on.

Announcements and Invitations

We’re still trying to get over the fact that Drew (Cameron Mathison — who talks about his new GSN game show here) never told Nina (Cynthia Watros) he was contemplating running for Congress, even though she was the one to introduce him to the senator. Instead, this information awkwardly revealed itself while Drew and Nina chatted with the politician. Needless to say, Nina basically gave the man her endorsement. Drew told McConkey he’ll run and, hopefully, replace his seat. According to teasers, Drew makes an announcement. If it’s not his intention to run for office, then what else could it be?

Meanwhile, Drew did promise to do something nice for Nina. He told her about the birthday party Michael (Chad Duell) is throwing for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Well, when the Crimson head gets a thrilling invitation, it has to be for her daughter’s shindig, right?

Suspicion and Thoughtful Introspection

Are Nina’s ears burning? Because Carly (Laura Wright — who sets the record straight on her status here) is suspicious and this time, it might not have to do anything with Sonny (Maurice Benard), Jason (Steve Burton), or even Ava (Maura West). At Willow’s party, look for Carly to question Drew’s motives for doing something nice for Nina. How much of his relationship with Nina is Drew willing to let her know?

Finally, Cody (Josh Kelly) gets food for thought. Or, in his case, more food for thought. He often needs people to advise him on the social basics of life. Like, why hasn’t he come clean about being Mac’s (John J. York — who’s about to start appearing again!) son yet? Is it because he doesn’t want to be happy, he thinks he doesn’t deserve to be happy, or he doesn’t want to be rejected or cause unnecessary family drama?
