Forget any rumors you have heard about Kirsten Storms leaving General Hospital (GH). The actress herself has set the record straight.
“To address the internet rumors, no I’m not leaving GH,” she shared on Twitter.
In fact, she added that she just re-signed with the show, so there will be a lot more Maxie to come.
“I had to take 2 sick days due to the flu and that is all, ” she continued.”I also recently re-signed with the show and I’m very happy to be continuing with Maxie’s journey.”
This was definitely good news to GH viewers, especially since Maxie is embroiled in a huge story right now that includes her growing attachment to Peter/Henrik who is about to deliver baby.
It’s a good thing because Maxie’s journey is looking like it could include some heartache. With all these babies — Maxie’s, Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier), and the one that Lucas (Ryan Carnes) and Brad (Parry Shen) are planning to adopt — something dramatic is bound to happen.
Soaps are infamous for baby switches, especially if one baby dies. Will that be what happens here and if so, whose will die and whose will be switched to a different parent?
The one most desperate to have her baby because the bundle of joy is her key to holding onto her “improved” life is of course Nelle. But, how that shakes out with Maxie’s and the other baby remains to be seen.
Thankfully with this latest news, we at least know Storms will be around to see this compelling story all the way through.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
