While General Hospital has been real subtle about who Ryan’s next victim might be, we think we know who it is. And, if we are right, it’s going to make Ned one miserable Quartermaine with VERY good reason.
There’s something mighty odd and suspicious with the way a barely-seen character like Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) has been used of late. So, when we saw a whole lot of Olivia on Valentine’s Day in a way we have never seen before, we couldn’t help but think, “Yep, poor ‘Niv’. There goes that couple.”
Now, we could be wrong, but think about this. Olivia was worried about Ned (Wally Kurth) being re-elected mayor because it could have left him an open target for Port Charles’ latest serial killer.
That seemed like a pretty out-of-nowhere reason to be nervous, but ok, we went with it.
Then, for some reason her psychic abilities came into play when Ava asked her to use those abilities to lead her to whomever killed Kiki.
Then, that part of the story was dropped as soon as Olivia couldn’t help and Ava (Maura West) walked away despondent. No way was that just a plot device to show how desperate Ava is to bring her daughter’s murderer to justice.
Finally, out of nowhere, Ned and Olivia got a love scene. Say what, now? Ned and Olivia?
The couple who mainly fell in love off screen? The couple the soap trots out every six week if that? That’s who GH chose to feature on Valentine’s Day.
To end that odd scenario, Ned takes one look at Olivia in the afterglow and declares she is the one. We see him more in love than ever, so of course heartbreak is to follow, right?
