Francis was born in Englewood, New Jersey. Her parents, Ivor Francis and Rosemary Daley, were both actors. She grew up in Long Island, New York, and California with her older brother, younger brother, and half-sister and started acting when she was a teenager.
Business Owner
Francis was also a business owner for many years. She owned a home store called The Cherished Home that was located in Maine. The store sold home accessories and cottage furnishings. However, Francis sold the store in 2012 because of her busy schedule on The Young and the Restless.
Mental Health Struggle

The actress met her husband, Jonathan Frakes, while they were filming the television miniseries Bare Essence.
