Kelly Monaco returned to Dancing With the Stars Monday night to help out pal Cheryl Burke do her “trio” dance with partner Terrell Owens, a former NFL wide receiver. And like Jason would be there for Sam, her General Hospital (GH) co-star Billy Miller was cheering her on in the audience through the whole thing.
Monaco, who won season one of DWTS, took part in Burke and Owens’ rumba, a sensual dance. But things were pretty steamy in the pre-dance video package, too!
Dance With Me
“I hope [Kelly] doesn’t get distracted by how handsome I am,” Owens said with a laugh.
She wasn’t distracted, but Monaco certainly noticed in what great shape her dance partner is in. “That man is sculpted out of…heaven,” Monaco quipped during rehearsal.
Burke’s Law
Burke took on the roles of choreographer and matchmaker, noting “Kelly needs a boyfriend – stat!” She then turned to Owens and asked, “Do you think you would be a good boyfriend to Kelly Monaco!”
Owens suggested that if the team got all “10’s” for their dance then Monaco would have to go out on a date with him. “Okay, okay, okay,” a semi-exasperated Monaco conceded. “If we get three ’10’s,’ I’ll go out on a date with you!”
The scores only added up to 24 from the judges, but some of the pro dancers held up a trio of “10” paddles to help make that date happen, so who knows? Maybe a door is open?
Either way, Monaco’s dance card may not be empty. After all, Miller was in the audience cheering on his leading lady! But was he trying to stay out of sight? At one point, it looked as if he was stepping back out of camera range so he wouldn’t be noticed.
The Last Dance
Alas, Owens was voted off the show, just shy of making it to the semi-finals, but he says, “I had a great time,” Owens said. “[Cheryl] is a great teacher. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
