The Grey’s Anatomy Season 15 finale didn’t end with a shocking death, but it was still full of drama. From certain people saying “I love you” to other couples working through their issues, the final episode of the season was a wild ride.
Needless to say, we’re all in when Season 16 premieres next fall. Here are the top five things we want to see happen when Grey’s Anatomy returns if we can have it our way!
1. Teddy and Owen
After years of back and forth, Owen finally told Teddy he loves her during the Season 15 finale. Though Teddy didn’t say it back — she was in the middle of labor, after all — it’s clear she loves him too as she told Amelia. Hopefully, these two will finally decide to give their relationship a chance, especially because they have a daughter together.
2. Alex and Jo
Alex (Justin Chambers) needs to become a father ASAP! Jo is going through a tough time right now, but we have a feeling she’ll pull through it soon. Alex and Jo are arguably the most stable relationship on Grey’s Anatomy, so it would be fun to see them navigate becoming parents.
3. Maggie and Jackson
Though we ended Season 15 with Jackson missing in the fog, we have a feeling he’s going to be OK. With that being said, Maggie and Jackson are just not meant to be together. Judging by their constant fighting during the finale episode of Season 15, can we just stick a fork in them and call it done?
4. DeLuca and Meredith
Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) finally told DeLuca she loves him during the finale, so the natural next step is for him to meet her kids! We’re not saying he should move into their house and become a father figure, but it would be nice for him to get acquainted with the Grey-Shepherd family. OK, first he has to get out of jail — but just after!
5. Amelia and Link
Amelia told Link she needed to take a step back from their relationship during the Season 15 finale, but we hope they end up getting serious next season. After her complicated relationship with Owen, Amelia deserves to be with someone who wants her and only her. Not to mention, Link’s a hunk!
