Mark Hamill has reprised his legendary role as Luke Skywalker in new Star Wars movies and now he’s reconnected with his pals from a galaxy far, far away for something totally different! Well, sort of.
Disneyland has officially opened its Star Wars theme park, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. One of the big attractions is a Millennium Falcon ride.
Mark Hamill visited the park, reuniting with Star Wars pals Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), and Star Wars creator George Lucas. The Millennium Falcon ride allows fans of the film to sit behind the controls and experience what it’s like to soar through the cosmos!
“After decades of just pretending to fly in the Millennium Falcon-Making the #SmugglersRun at #GalaxysEdge was a thrilling revelation!” Hamill posted.
Hamill posted some photos of his experience below, which not only celebrate Galaxy’s Edge but also honor late cast members Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca).
“Peter- This one’s for you,” Harrison said, according to Hamill.
“Carrie– You are here with us in our hearts,” Hamill posted, along with a beautiful picture of the actress. Check out Hamill’s posts below.
The actor is set to appear in the next Star Wars film titled Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. The late Fisher will appear in the film courtesy of archival footage.
