Lucas was in prison for attempting to kill EJ on Days of Our Lives, and he needed something from Sami in order to be at peace.

Even though he wanted to see his daughter Ali, Sami (Alison Sweeney) didn’t bring her to see her father behind bars and it angered Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).

But since she was sick, Sami left her in EJ’s care, further infuriating Lucas. Still, there were other important things to discuss… and Lucas needed to make Sami understand he was there for the long haul.
