It never fails, especially on Days Of Our Lives. Bad guy is bad. So bad. But then somebody notices he’s hot. So, so hot. Suddenly, he has a sad story about his childhood or the woman who broke his heart, or the one who’s stolen it now. And — what do you know — he’s Salem’s newest leading man.
Right, Steve (Stephan Nichols)? Right, Ben (Robert Scott Wilson)? Right, Tripp (Lucas Adams)? Right, Stefan (Brandon Barash)? Is Xander (Paul Teflor) next on that list? Can he be redeemed? What over 6,000 fans have to say:
Bring It On
It was close, but 56% would like to remind that Xander is very, very hot. And, aw, now he not only has the sad story about how Uncle Victor (John Aniston) never respected him but, also, did he mention that his daddy was mean?
And his mommy was a drunk? (Hey, both worked to turn Patch into Steve — and win him Kayla.) Plus, he told Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) to hydrate when she was hung over. That was nice.
And he’s suddenly madly in love with Sarah (Linsay Godfrey) — after just sleeping with her to piss off Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Rex (Kyle Lowder).
Oh, and he didn’t kill Ted (Gilles Marini) when ordered to by Kristen(Stacy Haiduk). What else do you people need to prove he’s hero material?
Tone It Down
Hey, remember when Xander slept with Sarah in order to piss off Eric and Rex, an almost even 44% of the audience nudges. Remember when he helped kidnap Holly, and blackmailed Nicole (Arianne Zucker) into marriage?
And, you know what — whining about your nasty Mommy and about how the girl you suddenly adore just married someone else is not a good look on a guy your age. That’s not redemption. That’s pathetic. And we ain’t buying. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
