Gilles Marini Reveals Personal Connection To Pandemic
According to the actor’s Twitter account, his beloved aunt, died today. “My aunt passed away this morning of the corona virus,” Marini posted. “RIP tata 💔 Stay safe my friends. This is hard for everyone.”
Earlier this week, Marini posted a reflective post on Instagram, theorizing on what we can all learn for this time in history in which there is so much uncertainty.
“As the world stopped fragilely spinning in our terms, everyone is realizing,” Marini posted. “Society created since the 50’s this false sense of happiness for profite. Owning things, bigger is better, from, look at my cars, my big houses, my possessions and on and on. Our existence on this planet is a lie. Smoke and mirrors. With flashy colors, that only exposed to the sun (reality), will fade away. We are attached, to desire the useless. The abondance of nothingness.
“When is the last time that you sat down and contemplated true happiness? What is happiness in your eyes? What is Black or white or good or bad? Is in these dire times that we truly can comprehend what is IMPORTANT. Health, Love, Contentment. Those are crucial. We are all poor and we are all rich. We are all human. I’m sadden by the evolution of our species. Mother Earth is actually kicking our ass and it’s telling us to stop. Stop our ways of excess and destructions.
“Covid 19 is here to remind us that we are nothing, fragile and full of ourselves,” he continues. “How about a new world, a new guideline. A new way of doing things. Accepting others like we were accepted at one point in our life…Be essential, learn to love and appreciate again from a new perspective… I love you all ❤️
