If any soap character has had a roller-coaster last six months, it’s definitely “Days of Our Lives” hapless heroine, Hope.
The poor girl thought she’d finally found happiness when she married Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove), but when he (or apparently his lookalike) tried killing her on their wedding night, everything changed. The next thing she knew, Bo was standing over her, Aiden was allegedly dead, and 24 hours later, so was Bo. By January, Hope killed Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) thinking she was avenging Bo’s death, but it turned out this was one crime The Phoenix didn’t commit. In the process of covering up the murder and getting her life back together, she fell in love with Rafe, only to have Aiden return.
What’s a girl to do after all that drama? Seek a little bit of R&R of course, which is exactly what Hope does next week when she gets away to the Horton Cabin. What she doesn’t expect while there is to walk down memory lane with none other than Bo (not quite) in the flesh.

“It’s kind of like a Scrooge episode because Bo takes Hope through and shows her things in her life, things that she has overcome and tells her that she has to continue to be strong,” actress Kristian Alfonso said in the June 13 issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Peter Reckell is back, which is really good because viewers will see Bo and Hope together again.”
Of course, Bo is not Hope’s only visitor as she contemplates her life. Late son Zack also makes an appearance in teenage form to help heal his mother’s soul. Zack died on-screen 10 years ago, so seeing her son grown will affect Hope as he convinces his mother to start living again.
Other guest appearances during this very Hope-centric day include Andrew Masset as Larry Welch and, of course, Joseph Mascolo as Stefano.
