Both Paige Searcy and Lucas Adams appeared as part of the Days of our Lives teen scene over the last several years in Salem and now the two alums have teamed up to appear in a film for Lifetime Movie Network.
Lucas Adams and Paige Searcy Team Up
The film is called Kidnapped By a Classmate, which is the story about a young woman named Brooke (played by Searcy), who is starting over in a new town with her mom and wealthy stepdad. She befriends a new guy she meets at school, which leads to her being abducted from her own home, according to the official website.
When the girl’s mother Shannon (played by Andrea Bogart, who played Margo on DAYS and Abby on General Hospital) catches on, she tries to find her daughter and ends up in danger herself.
Adams plays a character named Hunter and the young actor, who played Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) son Tripp on DAYS, shared a preview of the film with his followers on Instagram, saying, ” Tune into @lifetimemovies and catch me in #KidnappedbyaClassmate alongside the amazing @paigesearcy @andreabogart @thepedrochannel 🔥🔥🔥.”
What’s In A Name?
Searcy, who wowed viewers, as the troubled Jade, posted pictures to Instagram when she shot the movie, saying, “Brooke in My Daughters Ransom coming to a television set near you. Nov. 1 #killerransom #lifetime.”
Of course, the name of the film changed and so did its release date, which was Thursday night. You can see its next showing on Sunday at 8 PM on Lifetime Movie Network.
As for life in Salem, now that Tripp’s dad has returned to Salem (OK, not really but no one knows that), it would be nice to see Tripp return to say hello and perhaps confront his dad about hurting Kayla. As for Searcy, since Paige’s obsession, Joey (Steve’s other son), is still in jail, it seems unlikely anything would bring her to town but you never know in Salem. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
