Jacob Young appears to be missing his family at The Bold and the Beautiful. Absent from the cast photo taken in honor of the show’s 8000th episode, the Emmy-winning actor has shared his reaction in a few social media posts.
The actor was dropped to recurring status in 2018 and spoke out after Rick was absent at the wedding of Liam (Scott Clifton) to Rick’s sister Hope (Annika Noelle) last summer.
Now that Karla Mosley is back from her real-life maternity leave as Maya – sans Rick – we learned that the couple decided to split.
But, it seems now would be a great time for B&B and Young to kiss and make up (they have in the past, after all). Rick needs to return to explain why he and Maya have separated and hopefully, they can reconcile, too.
Also, as Rick knows what it’s like to lose a child (his baby with ex-wife Amber, Adrienne Frantz, was stillborn), he could provide much-needed emotional support to his half-sister.
Check out Young’s tweets below in which he superimposes a photo of himself/Rick over the head of Darin Brooks (Wyatt), who happened to be placed next to Mosley in the latest cast photograph.
Also, Young explains Rick’s absence in a jovial tweet.
Stay tuned to B&B to see if and when Rick ever returns!
The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
.Wait, Wait, Wait! Hold The Presses!!! After GREAT consideration, Rick was actually added to the #8000 photo! Look at how happy he is to see Maya after his kidnaping! 😍 To be continued…. pic.twitter.com/CxTF8ZGWyQ

.I know, but a lot of people keep asking, did you leave @BandB_CBS well the truth is, Rick was kidnapped in Paris, stabbed, ran over, (back&forth) dirt kicked over & left for dead in a cold shallow grave. Guess what? He dug himself out..8,000 or 8 million. He’s still out there… pic.twitter.com/LKBzk8ff0b
