There’s buzz that Bill Spencer might be the father of Steffy’s daughter Kelly after all. While that would certainly throw a wrench into the story, it wouldn’t the first time The Bold and the Beautiful changed a baby’s paternity!
Changing a character’s paternity opens up all kinds of story possibilities. Here are four examples of B&B paternity or maternity switches!
The Secret Letter
Just before Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) were about to wed, a mysterious letter was discovered indicating that Brooke had paid a doctor to fake Bridget’s (Ashley Jones) paternity results.
Brooke denied any wrongdoing but another test was taken. Viewers learned two things: Stephanie (Susan Flannery) hates needles. And Bridget is actually Eric’s (John McCook) daughter!
Stephanie Is Just Like Brooke
For years, Stephanie blasted Brooke for sleeping with more than one man at around the same time.
Well, it turns out that Steph, who always thought Eric had fathered her firstborn son, Ridge, did much the same as Brooke since Massimo Marone (Joe Mascolo) is Ridge’s dad. Steph, of course, told Brooke that was a totally different situation!
Amber’s Antics
After spending time in Genoa City, Amber (Adrienne Frantz) returned to Los Angeles and took up with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
She became pregnant and Liam thought the baby was his. It was a true shocker when the baby came out, and it was clear that Liam wasn’t the dad!
The true father was Marcus Forrester (Texas Battle)! Amber and Marcus named their daughter “Rosie,” a derivative of Amber’s name “Ambrosia.”
Mother’s Daze
Taylor gave birth to a son, Jack, fathered by Nick Marone, but she couldn’t quite bond with the child. She found out later she’d had Brooke’s (!) embryo implanted in her. The good doctor decided to give up her baby boy and let him be raised by Brooke.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
