Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) finally quit The Invader, which made Nina (Cynthia Watros) promote DeWitt (Dieterich Gray) to editor-in-chief. Later, Kristina (Kate Mansi) vented to her mom about not being the baby’s mother. Ava (Maura West) asked Trina (Tabyana Ali, who recently teased her exciting next move) for information on Sonny (Maurice Benard) for their impending custody battle, but Trina refused to help. That made Ava resort to giving her recording of Natalia’s (Eva LaRue) homophobia to DeWitt to publish. Everyone met at Deception to talk contracts, but were interrupted by The Invader’s article about Natalia.

When the news about Natalia broke, Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) blew up at her mother while Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Lucy (Lynn Herring) tried to do damage control for Deception. They contemplated firing Blaze, but decided against it. Sonny was meeting with Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) about the custody battle when they found out about the article. Alexis confronted DeWitt about the article while Natalia realized Ava was behind the recording and went to tell Sonny.

Alexis revealed to Ava she knows she was behind the recording. Maxie and Lucy grappled with Deception’s bad press, prompting Nina to fire DeWitt. Maxie decided holding this as leverage over DeWitt so he writes what they want was better revenge. Scott (Kin Shriner) met with Ava about her legal options. When Sonny found out about Ava, he vowed she would never see Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) again. Joss (Eden McCoy) overheard Carly (Laura Wright) talking to Diane about the FBI’s leverage, forcing her mom to admit everything to her. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) visited Blaze and Kristina to offer her support, having been on the receiving end of bad press before.

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) visited Sonny at his office and was surprised when Sonny told him to stay out of his life. Dante refused, reminding him they’re family and not to do something to Ava he might regret. Another Corinthos confrontation happened when Kristina blew up at Natalia over the recording, while Blaze attempted to step down as Face of Deception. Later, when Kristina got home, Blaze told her that her label dropped her. Dex (Evan Hofer) helped Trina and Josslyn move into their new place where he and Joss shared a kiss and Trina bonded with Gio (Giovanni Mazza) over music. Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Drew (Cameron Mathison, who you can find on Hallmark Mystery this weekend alongside another soap star) went for a swim when Drew found out his name had officially been changed from Cain to Quartermaine.

Coming up in Port Charles, there will be a mix of heart-to-hearts and confrontations when Cody (Josh Kelly, who recently revealed the co-star he wants more screen time with) makes a confession and Heather (Alley Mills) makes a request).
