Cane (Daniel Goddard) has been desperately trying to keep secret his night with Juliet from Lily (Christel Khalil)… by constantly talking about his night with Juliet, often within earshot of Lily.
At this rate, she was bound to overhear sometimes. And Cane should have been prepared with an excuse.
