The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Monday, April 9 features some big changes, as Victor wakes up. Will he ID his attacker? What will this mean for a stir-crazy Jack?
Plus, is there a Sharon/Nick/Phyllis/Billy quad on the horizon? And Devon sees Hilary for who she really is. Again.
Eyes Open
Jack (Peter Bergman) worried about the damage Kyle (Michael Mealor) was doing to Jabot while he rotted in jail.
JT (Thad Luckinbill) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) told Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) they’re getting remarried, and he was warily optimistic about it.
Later, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) called the entire family was called to the hospital and told them about the attempt on Victor’s (Eric Braeden) life.
Nick pointed out that means Jack probably isn’t the culprit, and Victoria wondered if the assailant might have been caught on a security camera.
Victor opened his eyes, but he’s suffered a stroke, which left him unable to speak. He, nevertheless, looks pointedly at JT. Is the jig up?

Four Across
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) settled down for a grown up evening after putting Johnny and Katie to bed when Nick (Joshua Morrow) stopped by. Billy gamely went out for beer, while Phyllis and Nick played video games to help Nick get his mind off Victor.
Sharon (Sharon Case) arrived and tells Nick about Victor. Nick took off, and Phyllis and Sharon had yet another argument about their mutual ex-husband.
Delivery Failure
After learning that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) told Simone about her and Devon (Bryton James) having sex in order to conceive a child, Devon suddenly woke up and remembers whom he is dealing with.
He told Hilary that, unless she’d already pregnant, their deal is off! Hilary will be sure to take it with the same grace and class as always.
