The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Wednesday, May 30 finds Victor reverting to old habits faster than anyone imagined possible, Traci trying to talk sense in an unenthused Jack, Charlie getting blindsided by a request, and Hilary receiving big news.
24 Hour Furlough
Hey, remember last month, when Victor (Eric Braeden) was all stroked out and contrite and eager to make amends with Nick (Joshua Morrow)?
Also, remember when Victor wanted to reconcile with his son and offered him a job at Newman Enterprises – yesterday?
Well, that’s all over with. The minute Nick questioned Victor’s decision to lie to Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Victor reverted to old habits.
First, he tried to turn Nick’s life upside down by throwing the truth about Christian’s paternity in Nick’s face. When Nick shot back that he already knew, Victor went to blackmail, warning that he’ll sue for custody.
Oh, and he also said he’d drag Sharon (Sharon Case) through the mud as part of that. Who cares how his beloved Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) might feel about it?

Home Is Where the John Is
Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Traci (Beth Maitland) tried to convince Jack (Peter Bergman) to come home and stop blaming Kyle for his disloyalty, but Jack said it’s time for him to find out who he is outside of being John’s son. He has an idea for a new business, and reached out to Devon (Bryton James).
But Devon may soon have other matters on his mind. Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is finally pregnant!
Little Help From My Friends
Charlie (Noah Alexander Garry) was eager to hear back from Shauna after their night out at the prom.
She didn’t text him back. She just showed up. She told Charlie she’s run away from home. Will Charlie hide her? Uhm… he was maybe hoping for a second date, first?
