The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Monday, February 12 features Phyllis more determined than ever to bring down Chelsea – no matter what Victor says.
Absence of Evidence Isn’t Evidence of Absence
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) doesn’t care that when she and Nick (Joshua Morrow) opened Adam’s crypt, they failed to find anything incriminating. She still thinks Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is guilty of the Fenmore hack.
Chelsea denied it all to Nick, and he believes her. Albeit, less ardently than before.
Earlier, Victor (Eric Braeden) warned Chelsea that if she goes back to her con artist ways, he’ll torpedo her relationship with Nick. Because he has that kind of power, you know.
Victor also offered Lauren (Tracey Bregman) all the money that she lost back – as long as Lauren doesn’t ask any questions. Phyllis took that as proof that Chelsea is involved. Phyllis is not wrong.
Remember When We Had Problems?
J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) visited Traci (Beth Maitland) on Colleen’s birthday, and the two remembered her late daughter and his first love. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) called and urged J.T. to pump Traci about Ashley (Eileen Davidson). He snapped that it’s not the right time.
Later, he and Victoria argued about all the issues that broke them up the first time, including Victor’s role in Colleen’s death. J.T. ranted that maybe Victoria is just using him as a Billy rebound but, in the end, they agreed they want this reunion to work.
Jack (Peter Bergman) supported Traci on her difficult day, but when she urged him to make up with Ashley, he said that he offered to do anything to convince Ashley to come back to Jabot, but she turned him down. He’s tired of playing scapegoat. And he’s hired a new chemist to replace his sister.
