The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Thursday, March 8 brings Dina and Abby home, takes Lily away, and finds Victor announcing that he has single-handedly figured out what really happened with the Newman file that ended up at Jabot – and then with JT and Victoria.
Homecoming
Jack (Peter Bergman) returns from Europe with Dina (Marla Adams) and – surprise! – Abby (Melissa Ordway), too. Abby isn’t happy to hear that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is convinced Jack and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) set her up to look bad in front of Victor (Eric Braeden).
She confronts both her uncle and her sister about it, letting Victoria know that Abby is back to working from Genoa City.
Meanwhile, Ashley deals with a more and more befuddled Dina, while Victor tells JT (Thad Luckinbill) to stay out of the Ashley investigation. Victor will handle it himself and, by the end of the day, he has his answer!
Invisible Nanny
Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) split up for the day, with Cane heading to Newman to pick up Lily’s things.
Victoria tries to apologize for what she said to Lily earlier, but Cane tells her that ship has sailed. Lily would never return to working for Victoria.

At the same time, Lily works her modeling contacts, looking for a new job. Jack tells her he’d love to have her back at Jabot, but Lily wants to broaden her horizons.
She and Cane meet up at the end of the day and have sex in the living room – while Sam’s nanny apparently is under strict orders never to leave the nursery (even if the baby needs his formula or something). How do we know Sam is, in fact, home?
Because after living room sex, when Lily tells Cane she just got a gig modeling in New York City, Sam cries and Cane goes to him. So who was taking care of the tot while both were out?
