The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Monday, February 26 finds Phyllis doing her best to protect Nick, even as Sharon is determined to lay some truth on him, while Hilary tries to sever her connection to Devon.
Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) drop by Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) to comfort him about Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Conner leaving. Victor reminds that he is always there for his family, and his grandson needs him. Victor came to this conclusion all on his own. Christian seems much more interested in his race-car.
Pot Meets Kettle and Both Turn Black
Earlier, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) gave Nick a pep talk and, when she saw that Sharon (Sharon Case) was trying to contact him, high-tailed it to the hospital.
Sharon still wants to tell Nick the truth, but Phyllis argues that he is devastated enough as it is. Finding out he isn’t Christian’s father would destroy him. The two women spar, until Phyllis delivers her killing shot: If Sharon blabs, she’ll be no better than Chelsea!
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) looks through her Big Book Of Sperm Donors, and imagines the possibilities. In one, the dad swoops in to take her baby. In another, he’s arrested for murder.
Hilary sobs to Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that unless she meets a man and has his child, she will never be a mother. (Has Hilary considered adoption? And if she’s just as nervous about that, does she think her own DNA is that stellar? She’s not exactly a good person.)
Devon (Bryton James) arrives and gives Hilary notes on her show. Hilary bristles and announces that she quits. Devon tells her she has a contract, and she’ll owe him money if she does. Hilary wonders why Devon seems so reluctant to let her go?
