The Young and the Restless recap (YR) for Wednesday, August 15 features parents versus child confrontations galore, as Victor first needles Nick, then tries to undermine Sharon’s faith in her fiancé, while Summer fires back when Phyllis calls her a brat. Plus, Michael warns Lily to prepare for the worst.
Like Father, Like Son
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) were planning their wedding when Victor stopped by to act like a bastard.
He made fun of Nick wasting time canoodling when he should be trying to get his new company off the ground. Later, Victor told Sharon that Nick is going to pay more attention to Black Horse than to her, Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Christian. He said they’re more alike than Sharon knows. Of course, Victor thinks that’s a good thing.
Crime and Punishment
Lily (Christel Khalil) told Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) she was ready to face her punishment for Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) death.
Phyllis admitted that it’s tempting to want revenge, but that only breeds more pain. Lily was already punishing herself, and Hilary wouldn’t have wanted that.

Phyllis didn’t know Hilary very well, did she? Hilary LOVED revenge! And Hilary HATED Lily. This would make her ever so happy, especially the part where Devon is choosing her over the family.
Phyllis and Lily hugged. Michael then warned his client that he’ll do his best, but she should brace herself for the maximum sentence.
Dish It Out… Take It…
Summer (Hunter King) accused her mom of not supporting Billy (Jason Thompson) enough, even though Lauren (Tracey Bregman) is already mad at her friend for doing precisely that at Lauren’s expense.
Phyllis has enough and lays a few truths on her spoiled brat daughter. Summer fires back that her mother cheated on Billy. And Summer knows where, when, and with whom!
